Bush Calls Service Members to Thank Them
CAMP DAVID, Md. -- President Bush on Friday called several people serving in the U.S. military to thank them for their service and wish them happy holidays.

Bush placed the calls Friday morning from the presidential retreat at Camp David, Md., where the Bush family gathered for the Christmas weekend.

"As these members of our armed forces sacrifice to protect our freedom and liberty, the president wanted to express his gratitude for their service and sacrifice and to wish them all a merry Christmas and happy holidays," White House spokesman Ken Lisaius told reporters in a conference call.

1. I wonder
if the servicepeople called had to take a loyalty oath AND promise not to ask any 'tough questions' before they were allowed to hear from the Shrub....

4. Right, Resident AWOL calling guys who are in a hostile country dodging
bullet and bombs, something he was totally unwilling to do, and wishing them a Merry Christmas???????? What in the hell part can be construed as being Merry??????? The fact that they are lucky enough to still be alive and having all their limbs (so far). The fact that they will be recycled over and over again so that bush* can try to save face???? The fact that the only guys who have anything to show for this obscenity so far is Halliburton, Carlyle, etc.????????

This just freaks me out.

Very magnanimous.

I guess this means that he has recovered from all the recent parties?

By the time President Bush and first lady Laura Bush host the last of at least 20 holiday parties on Monday night, they will have greeted some 6,600 friends, associates, political donors, members of the Cabinet and the Congress, Secret Service agents and ink-stained wretches of the press.

"Physically, I don't understand how he does it," said one aide to the president. Bush generally prefers quiet, low-key evenings at home and is "pretty tired."

8. I am so weary of all this propaganda
day after day. It sickens me.

All it would have taken was for a few good men to stand up and thoroughly expose and chastise this insane monster before the war had begun. The whole world was onto him and his lies and yet we had few good men, brave enough and willing to save this country from fascism. All it would have taken was a few good honest men/women with enough bravery to publish, consistently, for the people to read and hear, exactly all of the evil perpetrated by a man who was never elected.

Day after day, we get propaganda,It hurts the eyes and ears. And worse, day after day, we don't know if the news we get is a lie or the truth, so adept at tossing around the people like leaves in the wind has this entire government become.

14. Bush called 10 members of the U.S. military?!?
Edited on Fri Dec-24-04 02:27 PM by Khephra
How did he find the time with those 20 parties he has to host and 6000 hands he has to shake? How does he do it all? He's simply superhuman!

I sure hope those soldiers didn't waste his time talking to him. They probably just rambled on and on. If they did, I sure hope they're court-martialed. Bush has parties to attend! Can't have him talking to grunts all day!
