Debate on Secret Program Bursts Into Open
Edited on Thu Dec-09-04 10:36 PM by Osamasux
WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 - An intense secret debate about a previously unknown, enormously expensive technical intelligence program has burst into light in the form of scathing criticism from members of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

For two years, the senators have disclosed, Republicans and Democrats on the panel have voted to block the secret program, which is believed to be a system of new spy satellites. But it continues to be financed at a cost that former Congressional officials put at hundreds of millions of dollars a year with support from the House, the Bush administration and Congressional appropriations committees.

4. Just what we need - more Ray gun and his Star Wars crap
Why the hell don't they just replace all our hummers in Iraq with Cadillacs - they already have GPS systems.

10. Fellow Americans, Lend Me Your Bugs!

No weapons of Mass Destruction, no Osama, no armor on their vehicles... and the holidays are right around the corner. Our troops sure could use a morale boost. Here's my idea. Let's all us good Americans donate our VW Bugs to the troops. Here's why:

1. VW Bugs come in lots of bright, cheerful colors.

2. They may not have GPS... BUT they are easier to maneuver than Cadillacs, AND they probably have the same amount of armor as the military vehicles.

3. Our soldiers will enjoy using the darling little vases molded right into the dashboard for all those flowers the Iraquis keep throwing at them.

...Just trying to be practical.

These subscription services present a tracking and security risk to personal computers everywhere. It would be nice if a synopsis link could be provided somewhere.
