AP: Bush Asks Americans to Support Soldiers
Standing before thousands of Marines, President Bush asked other Americans on Tuesday to make the war their own by helping battle-weary troops and their families.

"The time of war is a time of sacrifice, especially for our military families," Bush said, wearing a tan military jacket with epaulets. "I urge every American to find some way to thank our military and to help out the military family down the street."

I tried to help the troops, but this giggling murder-monkey got re-elected anyway.

6. I don't feel ashamed...
anymore for having more sympathy for the innocent Iraqi civilians that the U.S. Troops are murdering and torturing, and over all shattering of lives due to this war.

9. It is very difficult to have patience with or pity for

the gung-ho soldiers or their deluded "My child died to save freedom" parents.

But we should try to do so because they didn't start the war. They are just pawns in the game, pawns on the global chessboard, who don't even know what game is being played.

Place the blame where it belongs, with those who started the war, and those who allowed them to do so (I'm talking to you, John Kerry, and to all the other Democrats who went along with Bush** in his lust for conquest.)

21. You bet. It's not just Buscho. It's the DLC enablers like Kerry who
supported the DNC'ers fraudulent agenda.

charity begins at home, OTHER people's homes.
That little shithead has saved himself something like $500,000.00 in taxes with his greedy little giveaways, and he and his ilk continue to mooch off people who work for a living. Driving the government into the Marianas Trench of debt just so he and his friends can become even richer, he has to do everything on the cheap, including WAR. We had the stingiest lowballing version of conquest imaginable, and as they gut all social programs to pay for a presidential yacht, he begs for people to do the government's job.

Yes, help your military neighbors, but remember that you're doing that so the greedheads can dine in peace.

7. A local group I belong to got together to send supplies to the troops
Can you believe NOT ONE of the self-described Republicans showed up to help? They all had excuses - more important things to do.

It was a small group of liberal Democrats who had been against the war from the beginning who actually made the time and bought supplies and got together and packed them up for the troops.

Typical right-wing values at work. Always too busy when real work has to be done, but never too busy to complain about liberals.

11. I saw this in action as well...
We put together christmas kits for soldiers who didn't have family back in the States. Many of our friends expressed interest, save for the two "bushies" who just so happen to have the yellow ribbon stickers. They believed that Bush would never leave the soldiers without what they needed and that to send items is an insult to the soldiers and the president. Yeah, way to "support the troops". It's damned ironic that those were opposed to the war in the first place are the ones who are helping the soldiers out.

I know. I cant stand it anymore. I support the troops in wanting them to get the f*** out of Iraq. If only we could send George and his "crew" in their place. I know, not very Christian of me. But I'm not feeling charitable at the moment.

20. Remember
They are OUR troops, you and I the american public.

These troops of ours have been "hijacked" by a ROGUE administration. The same administration that "hijacked" (2) elections. Why are we americans so passive? Well, 50% of us know the answer anyway.:grr:

22. I support the troops, all right.
...by calling for their return home...in one piece...ASAP.

Right after the election, I considered closing down my website (see link below). For awhile, I couldn't bring myself to update anything, and it sort of had that "frozen in time" look. I'm over that now, and not only is the website up to date, it's been improved. It used to have a rather linear "blog" format, but now it has sections, like a proper newsmagazine.

I heard Salon is looking for a web developer. Maybe I should send in a resume.
