Ronald Reagen Beanie Babies To Help Pay for Ship Improvements
http://www.dailypress.com/news/dp-37463sy0jul08.story

The president credited by many with winning the Cold War has achieved another level of immortality with the production of Ronnie the bear, a Beanie Baby decked out in a sailor suit.

Profits from the sale of the bear - which will hit shops nationwide Monday - will go entirely to the Santa Barbara Council of the Navy League to support ship improvements aboard the carrier Ronald Reagan. The Navy League of the United States is a civilian organization dedicated to supporting members of the Navy and their families.

9. If you're a Beanie Collector, Don't Read This Post
But my sister's dog loves to chew up stuffed toys and Beanie Babies are the dog's favorite.

If it wasn't for the fact the money would be going to a carrier named after Raygun, I might be inclined to buy one just to watch my sister's dog tear it up.

10. It poses a bit of a dilemma
I think it's great that the profits will be used for improvements to make life better for those Navy people assigned to the shiip.

On the other hand, I can think of no earthly use for a Ronald McReagan beanie baby -- except to POOP ON! (And is that one of those Republican Bulges (tm) in the crotch of the little sucker?)

12. The Repukes should hate this!
After all, it was (according to them) Saint Ronald Reagan who single handedly destroyed the Evil Soviet Empire, therefore naming a BEAR, of all things, after "The Greatest President In History" should be a glaring insult.

And what's this about "ship improvements"? Wasn't this a brand new aircraft carrier??
