US Forces Hunt For Kidnapped UN Workers (Afghanistan, the Forgotten War)
U.S. and Afghan forces have raided a house in Kabul in an operation aimed at freeing three foreign UN workers kidnapped in October.

Reports say that U.S. helicopters circled over the neighbourhood as Afghan intelligence officers searched the area and raided the house.

Rockets were fired from U.S. aircraft and at least one hit a civilian house, with no casualties, according to police and intelligence sources.

4. Not enough deaths to garner US attention
Luckily we have so very few troops in Afghanistan to get killed. We'll just keep losing 40-some every year and Americans won't notice.
