Bruised and bloodied, a Libyan woman burst into a dining room full of international journalists last Saturday in an attempt to share her story of rape and abuse at the hands of Muammar Gaddafi's government.

Iman Obaidi said she had been stopped at a checkpoint and was repeatedly raped by 15 government men over the course of two days. According to a story in The Guardian, Obaidi says the men "swore at me and they filmed me. I was alone. There was whiskey. I was tied up. They peed on me
