We'll see if the recall fire for Walker can be maintained for a year. Yes, some of the Republican senators can be recalled now as well as some of the Democrats, but recall does not mean they are removed. They must be beaten at the polls in a recall election. Democrats have to wake up this time and actually get out and vote, something they did not do in November. Choosing not to vote has severe consequences as we see now.

The reality is that here in Wisconsin things may not be saved, but the protests here may actually help to save other states from going through this. Walker is in a position now of not being able to compromise because it would give the Democrats a victory so it is likely he will not budge from his position. I don't expect it.

This is going to be a marathon and not a sprint with a number of important battles ahead, including recall elections. We'll see what Democrats here are really made of in this next year and if this current passion can be maintained. If the Tea Partiers can do it we should be able to do it as well.
