as in above you can type anything into the "search" area for a topic you are interested in, say

Then click on any of the other twitters users that come up.

I have a bunch of twitter icons on my toolbar, sitting like birds on a wire - I delete the title, because it takes up too much space - one can always figure out who it is my moving the mouse over the bird.
