no matter WHO is promoting them.

Frankly we'd be better off with a Republican in the WH - remember when Bush tried to privatize SS? The Dems all lined up against him. What will happen when Obama does it? Half the Dems will go along because it was a Dem plan.

I'd rather have the Dems united against a president's SS privatization than have them split and allowing it to happen because a supposed Dem favors it.

With the stong pushback we're seeing across the country tonite, I'm hopeful that the PTB will get the message and declare that SS is once again the third rail - there is no reason for us to be afraid of, and cater to, the right. Tonite proves it. We CAN kick their ass. So it is in Obama's court. Now, if any time, is the time to say KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF SS. If he still refuses to say that, fuck him.
