Whether you agree with their approach or not, it seems they're using old anarchist tactics (such as the general assemblies) to craft a message as the protest unfolds.

That can be very frustrating, but when I heard that I thought it made sense, considering the collectivist/Adbuster roots the protest has. They're also all about creating and occupying an open, non-commodified free space (another old anarchist tactic).

It may seem questionable to take such an approach given what we're up against today; however, I wouldn't call it silly...but then, I'm a fellow traveller with these kinds of folks (I admire the Diggers--both the '60s San Francisco variety and the 1600's England sort--for example).
