109. Why the obsessions with having a bumper sticker slogan?
Edited on Wed Sep-28-11 11:14 PM by bengalherder
The Declaration of Independence is a laundry list that was slowly distilled by decades of grievances suffered by individuals that banded together to find common cause. Rosa Parks might have had her mantra, but she is just one person. albeit a well-known one, in the struggle for civil rights. Each person within the movement brought their own personal take on why they were there.

And speaking of the civil rights movement, it's momentum was essentially gutted after the assasination of MLK. People around here are asking why this movement has no leaders....well this movement has no leaders because we do not wish to have a single individual at risk. The message is the medium. Ghandi tech. We've had the teachers, we've seen it work elsewhere, and now we can do it on our own.
