20. That fact has not changed anything nationally.
It is not sufficient to change the death penalty. That can only be done at the federal level. Talking to Georgia officials is a waste of time. They do not care what you think, and will not change their minds because of what you think. The same is true in several states. We must work toward a permanent national ban on the death penalty. All other efforts do almost nothing, especially in states like Georgia and Texas. Indeed, they only serve to harden the hearts of those in those states who make the decisions. This protest needs to be taken directly to Washington, and must be combined with electing people who will overturn this penalty once and for all.

If you think anyone in Georgia leadership cares, you're woefully incorrect.
