22. As someone who supports the option of the DP, I do not think Troy Davis should be executed.
A reasonable compromise would be to commute his sentence to life in prison so that the issue of guilt is avoided.
His recent hearing to prove his innocence was horribly conducted by his lawyers. Their failure to put Red Cole on the stand is astonishing. I don't know if Troy Davis is innocent, but I damn well know that there is enough doubt to not execute the man.
