[Wait Wut]

Another season of cranky old people screaming MERRY CHRISTMAS in my face. Why is it they insist on YELLING at me?

Last year, this woman screamed it at me (she wasn't even old, yet...early 50s probably). I quietly said, "Enjoy your holiday".

Her: It's okay to wish me a Merry Christmas back. I won't tell your boss."
Me: He doesn't care if I do or not.
Her: Well, then why won't you say it?
Me: I'm not a Christian.
<she glances at the little tiny star around my neck>
Her: Oh! Well, Happy Hannakuh!
Me: I'm not Jewish.
Her: But, you're wearing the Star of David!
Me: No. My star has 5-points.

She was completely baffled and walked out without a word. She was one of the nicer ones. An old man went on a rant in front of another customer. He said he'd never be back. I was crushed, I tell ya. The best part was when my other customer started laughing at him. He turned bright red and scampered out the door.
