I went into culture shock when I moved from Chicago to Arizona. Now, almost all of my friends are Republicans and two consider themselves teapers.

I've known many, many Libs/Dems/Progs that are anti-choice. I also know several Republicans that are pro-choice. I dated a man that was bi-sexual...and Conservative. Most of my right-wing friends don't give a damn who anyone marries and think the whole argument is a waste of time.

The only disagreement you'll get from me is the voting issue. I HAVE talked to Republicans/teapers that would choose to limit voting rights to those with a college education, a job and natural born citizen. I don't recall ever speaking to a lefty that would deny voting rights to anyone.

I enthusiastically agree with your last sentence. Although, I don't consider them my "enemy". I think you used that for the point and not literally, though. We're all Americans and like any dysfunctional family, there are those we just will never agree with. But, their rights are the same as ours and as long as we keep fighting...they always will be. Needless to say, the right paints us with the same broad brush that we use to paint them. We just use prettier colors.

You do realize that by agreeing with you I've just alienated 74% of DU, right? Not that I haven't anyway.
