These days the real number are north of 20%. Charity cannot make up that deficit given how inherently inefficient the private administration of health care is. The problem is that the problem is too big and a patchwork wishful thinking solution just won't do. It is yesterdays solution for todays problem.

And let's not forget the days before the "good" old days when this shit WASN'T covered by hospitals, doctors, etc.... The truth is that the good old days didn't exist except in fairy tales.
