14. I'm near Wilkes-Barre but on top of a mountain.
We're in no danger of river flooding where I live but the entire Susquehanna River valley is in dire straits. It's reminiscent of flooding from Hurricane Agnes in 1972.

Here in lower Luzerne Co. we're had over 5 inches of rain since Sunday night. The ground was already saturated by the rain Irene left for us so there's no room for more. We've had some seepage in the basement but the sump pump is handling it. All the area schools are closed due to the flooding of creeks that flow into the Susquehanna. There are so many area roads that are impassable there's no way to get all the kids to school. If I could send some of this rain to Texas I'd do it in a heartbeat. We really need the rain to stop.
