they're Beliebers--though that's unfair to Bieber fans, since if Justin turned into Sade's Justine they'd abandon him
it's an age of cult politics, of "I like him/her," of tallying "policy victories" over consequences and policy content: Reagan, Clinton somewhat, Steve Jobs's Moonies, Kerry somewhat, *, Obama, Palin, Gingrich
