When i play at my club, i play alone about half the time. I'm a very fast player and i play pretty well, so when a group sees me coming, they wait to let me play through. (BTW: Talking golf.)

When they let me go through, i always say "Thank you, boys." I know for sure i'm not racist.

But, Buchanan said it was a boxing term. Waterman and i have had significant experience in that field and neither of us heard that word used the way Buchanan suggests.

And, you're right: Given his track record it's easy to conclude that it was intentional and coded.
