Republicans have agreed to raise the debt ceiling
Advertisements [?]
They agreed in April, when all but about 5 of them voted for Paul Ryan's Budget Plan.

Ryan Plan - $16.2 trillion is the "appropriate debt limit" for fiscal year 2012.
Obama - $15.9 (In April he was suggesting for a $1.6 trillion increase on the current $14.3)

So why does my morning paper say Republicans will not vote to increase borrowing?
Why did my morning radio news have Mitch McConnell saying they will not vote to raise the debt ceiling if they don't get what they want? Why are the all saying it's a bad idea? And why are they able to get away with it?????

Democrats and Obama can end the debt ceiling game and steal their ace by agreeing to raise the debt ceiling to the level supported by and voted for by almost every single Republican. (Obama and Democrats should ask for something for their concession!)
At the very least, they should point out every single hour of every day that Republicans are not against raising the debt ceiling. They are prefectly willing to borrow more in order to cut more taxes for corporation & the wealthiest.

The threat of default is a huge danger to our economy. This game with the debt ceiling did not have to happen.
