5. I am an old AARP member
We even had AARP/Hartford car insurance, until they raised our rates by 70 percent for no reason. We switched to another company--no big deal.

And I like the AARP magazine--at least it usually has articles of more interest to me than 80 percent of the other 20 magazines for which I have subscriptions.

And I know that Social Security has changed the method of computing benefits every thirty years or so, so it they need to do it now, that would be nothing our of the ordinary.

If I choose to not renew my AARP membership, it would be for some other reason.
