cops abusing Teabaggers OK?...you do raise an interesting point. But I don't think it's likely because Teabaggers are tolerated and supported by the Rethuglicans. I wonder why you're asking these questions? It seems as though you side with the cops against the OWS protestors, correct?

IF assault on Teabag demonstrators actually DID happen, to the degree we saw it against the OWS protestors, then I think you'd see huge outrage on DU. Huge. You miss one thing about Liberals--they DON'T want to see violence done to ANYONE. Ever. Doesn't matter how much views and ideologies differ. It's a fundamental difference. Liberals abhor violence, wars, torture, abuse. To anyone. Liberals (on a respectable site like DU) may use words to hurt, but not weapons. Keep that in mind.

Someone who elects to be a policeman/woman in this country where so many have access to guns knows
that at any moment they can be killed. They do their jobs knowing this, like soldiers. And they should be paid more. They should get hazard pay just for working in an American city.

The police in this case WERE NOT threatened. And they could have had reinforcements at a moment's notice in NYC.

There is NO excuse for what they did. None.
