I also listened to the whole CBS segment this morning. As a political leader she is trying to do two things at once. Be supportive to Obama and also continue aggressively speaking up for her constituency- making sure they feel she is doing just that, and taking some credit with CBC for "getting Obama energized" on issues important to the CBC. Is she to be faulted for that?

"He certainly heard us," she said. "That speech that he did to the CBC included the words black and African American for the first time. He's energized. And yes, we helped him get energized."
