46. I don't think anyone cares

The nation is in a stupor and President Obama is seen as ineffective and all the negatives are now squarely at his feet. He has been totally uninspiring to his base and at times hostile. So even though the Tea Party is full of shit, their candidates speak to their values and that fires up their base...that has an indirect impact on the 'non' political class in that they see this 'new movement' as one that is exciting, has the good ideas, after all, look at all those people excited about it.

Politics are most often about perception. Obama created a great perception of what his presidency would be like...corporate control of government curtailed, real health care reform, commitment to the working class, education, infrastructure, jobs, etc...After 8 years of the rubes running the whole shebang Obama's music turned us all on, but then we woke up one day to find he's just like every other politician...and THAT is why so many people are devastated by this man. Because we foolishly thought he was a different breed of leader, but alas he's not. He is smart, he tries, but he isn't 'special' as so many of us thought.

I have very little faith anything worth a shit will get done between now at next Nov and I have a very bad feeling about his chances at a 2nd term.

The ONLY good thing about an Obama loss in 2012 is it will probably inspire the left to proportions epic in nature.
