4. Why would you want to watch that crap?
Frankly, I'm disgusted by the number of threads that have been started here on that debate (which I most decidedly did NOT watch). There are more threads on, and more interest in, this bumf*** debate than there were on the president's Joint Session speech on jobs last week. (Though of course there have been lots of misguided comments about it after the fact that misrepresent the content entirely.) But the Republicans ... oh, that's fun and oh so critical, we follow every word they say.

Seven of those eight people are going to be irrelevant in six months. You don't need to know the fine distinctions between them. Only one will be their candidate, and then you can listen very carefully to what he (or god forbid she) says, because it will matter.

You can read all the takeaway lines from the debate here or on any of the major blogs. In the meantime, there are millions of important things to read and watch. Frankly, I'd pour a good drink and watch an old movie on television. Or play solitaire.

I'm really really pissed off today at this place. (Sorry to take it out on you.)
