8. Hell, yes!
When he got elected, I hoped he was as smart and competent as he appeared to be. Then he got to work and I realized he was showing away the whole time. He is much smarter and more competent than he appeared to be. He is much smarter and more competent than almost anyone, I now suspect.

He's not a liberal like I am, that is clear to me. But he's not a criminal either, and his ability to get things done in the face of seditious opposition is frankly like nothing I have ever seen or learned about in American history. He seems to be honest, straightforward, ethical, and inclined to follow the law even though he has enough power to mock it if he wishes.

What I didn't expect when he got elected is that practically nobody is familiar enough with the legislative process to understand how brilliant this President really is. So few of you understand how hard it was to get what little has been done accomplished. I think it has something to do with the fact that the media doesn't understand either, and is simply passing along right-wing press releases that deliberately muddle everyone's understanding.

But I think you're about to see him spell part of it out for you tonight. Some of you are going to figure out what he's done, which is to use the evil powers of the Presidency for good.

Some of you will fail to see it, and continue to dismiss it as multi-dimensional chess, which is a shame because you're the primary beneficiaries of the President's plans, but too poisoned by bad information to realize it.
