112. Obama may not be a DLC type
Edited on Tue Jun-28-11 11:04 PM by Harmony Blue
but he is using Clinton's blueprint of staying in the center. I think that is a mistake, given the feeling throughout the country, and even Independents probably are looking for a candidate that stands out now. In other words, in a situation where the economy is strong, a pragmatic, methodical centrist is seen as very reasonable. But in a economy grinding along slowly, the methodical approach doesn't resonate with voters, but either swift action, or words to spur enthusiasm. Obama tends to take a patient long term view of a stance, but this can be confusing to voters and they may see it as complacency instead with no sense of urgency with what is happening now.
