31. Republicrats support the same corrupt corporate crap that Republicans do
and- as Howard Dean said so bluntly- we didn't elect Democrats to enact crap legislation.

That Republicans are mounting a successful strategy of opposing everything in order to watch the hapless Democrats flail about and expose themselves as the timid, complicit and at times corrupt bunch that all too many of them are, doesn't mean that their movers and strategists aren't quite pleased with the legislation.

It's largely a win/win for them.

They get many of the provisions they wanted (including some McCain actually campaigned on) -the ones they most opposed are excluded from the bill (or even from consideration) AND they get to sit back as say "we told you so" and "hey, we didn't do it" as the Dems impose unpopular and utterly ineffective "reforms" that will make the problem(s) even more intractable- and will pad the pockets of their insurance and PhARMA donors- while associating them with Democrats!
