Federal Law supersedes state law only in some areas, but not all. The law of real property, for example, is prototypically local (i.e. under state control.) Which wasn't my point. My point was that the Feds claim the power to enter one's home and seize one's things based on entirely local, non-economic activity. And they claim that the Interstate Commerce Clause is the source of that power. If that position doesn't appear on its face to you to be a bit...incongruous...with the natural and expected meaning of words to you, then I'm not sure we can discuss this any further. :shrug:
