But there are going to be people here who attack you brutally for this.
Mr. Ford will probably have to deal with some comments whose rhetoric is as blistering as his own.
The worst thing we can do is follow our leaders uncritically.
Another worst thing is to believe that the corporate sector will enrich this country. They have not. They will not.
Not without public advocacy in the form of labor unions and mass movements. These things were characteristic of much of the 20th century, attacked post 1980, and then lost power.
We now have an oligarchy which is determined to throw the people to the mercy of corporate America.
They also wish to create hegemony here-- that means that they will compel you to take part in your own subjugation.
And the lesson is clear--
He who looks like a brother and talks like a brother could just as easily be a traitor to his people.
He who is a citizen may be trying to make you into a subject.
