23. It wasn't until a few days/weeks after 9-11 that I started to suspect him...
At the time of the attacks, I thought he was a horrible, illegitimate president, but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt in handling the emergency, but instead of showing real leadership, he and his team immediately went into full-on exploitation mode, stoking up America's basest nationalism & jingoism. By the time anthrax was sent to leading democrats, I felt like either Bush or his supporters must have been involved.

I've yet to see any damning evidence of Bushco involvement in 9-11 or anthrax, but my intuition tells me they were a part of it, as nobody benefited more from those attacks. Besides, remember who Bush comes from - a sleazy arms-dealing spymaster father and a grandfather whose business interests were confiscated because of his support for the nazis.

In late 2001 and all of 2002, I was amazed as most of the country seemed to fall under the spell of this buffoon, even as he continued to behave in the most cynical, insincere and exploitative manner.

I despise him and all in his cadre. The lowest this country has to offer.
