If someone is considered to be in a certain group, by another group, some people will try to make them bad and keep people from supporting them by going after people around them.

However if you are standing for some value that is correct, and some group does not like it, then supporting, or being supported by other people includes having to stand up to that stuff.

But that is the concept of how people do those things, they pile on a person if they feel they are not part of their group, and one of the ways to do that is to go after people around them. So you have to look, is what is said true, in perspective, and not targeted justice. So that you do not just think a person being treated bad is bad, but you think based on the persons thoughts and feelings.

I am not saying that is the case in the Palin example, it could also be that people do not agree with what they hear the ideology is from a group, but the idea mentioned in the OP is used by people for reasons of control also.

A reason to not put your trust in people first in my view, but also a point that if you are going to make a difference standing for some values requires taking some difficult situations. And if you are correct, sometimes you can get some help.

What is mentioned in the OP is part of the concept of isolating people.

So my point is that concept can make you follow bad ideas if you think in those terms, since it is done in secret by some groups to try and make things look like some person is cursed, when it is free will choices of some group trying to make it look that way.

It also can be like the gar flies, where people try and get a person to show they stand up for something, then attack them, and try to go after people one at a time. So you have to decide, do you want to hide, or stand for what you believe, knowing some people by free will, will be disingenuous in comment about the actions you think are best. (note that Gar is a concept with an elite filter and is a bit off, but shows how some think that like concepts of secrecy)

The media Criticism of some politicians follows that same pattern sometimes also.
