My Prisoner, My Brother

This is the story of Iraqi grief, misery and loss, at the hands of those who were supposed
to be rescuing them. Its also a story of a friendship between one US soldier and a detaineE.

The Abu Ghraib scandal was bad, but this goes beyond. Even frail old men were imprisoned!
Thousands of Iraqi men were taken from their homes and put in prisons set up in Iraq by the US. Some died there, some suffered starvation there (when trucks couldn't get supplies through).

My Prisoner, My Brother

An American soldier formed an unlikely friendship in the crucible of Abu Ghraib—with an Iraqi detainee who was under his command. Their gripping story is the subject of a new documentary, The Prisoner or: How I Planned to Kill Tony Blair.... http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2007/02/abughraib200702

Can you imagine your or your loved ones being dragged out of your own home, in your own country, by an occupier - and then imprisoned by that occupier? Treated worse than animals by an invader?
