79. When I speak of proprietary
I speak of hardware mostly. For example, the new iPad comes without a USB port. In order to connect any USB device to the iPad, one must purchase a special Apple connector. If one wants to replace the battery on the iPad, they can't just purchase one online, crack open the device and replace. No. They have to send the thing off to the company, who won't replace the battery but instead, issue the customer a completely new device. And as for the whole no-FLASH bit, I call horseshit on that. I'm willing to bet Apple forbids FLASH - not because of power drain or because HTML is "teh future" but because they didn't want to pay the licensing fees to Adobe.

Shit like that pisses me off.
