6. No, not bizarre fanboys do really weird shit
true story... decades ago we ran demos for a game called BattleTech. Well we did things like "get in costume" which was fun for comicon.

So one convention a sixteen year old challenges me to a circle of equals. Ok, no problem. Choose your miniature, sheet, some paper and dice right? WRONG, he meant on his Daishi parked in the parking lot. Never mind this is a fictional mech that would have collapsed the parking lot, clocking in at 100 tons, and draw all kinds of attention.

Suffice it to say I had a long talk with parents. Did cost the company a customer, but did the kind of intervention that needed to be made. I hope the kid came to the 20th century, quite frankly. So this is not shocking. It is a comment on the country to a point...

Oh and the movie is incredible. It does deserve an Oscar for the special effects, at least in my view, and now I KNOW why the right is so damned pissed with Cameron.
