2. It's the best we can do right now!
We have to be considerate of the Republican Democrats in the Party and let them have the final say, because they are so used to getting their way for years and years and may become upset if we actually moved the country to the left, like a majority of the the country voted to do.

We promise, you'll see. We will fix it later, just like we fixed NAFTA. We just need to get it passed first.

The most important thing is to pass something, so we can claim a victory. Seriously, it doesn't matter if it doesn't really help anyone and hurts them more. The Republicans would never dare to touch it later and screw us harder. We'll finally be able to say we done something great. Isn't that GREAT?
