Is Leon Panetta charge of the CIA or is he not?

If he is, then he should be held accountable for its shortcomings. If he isn't, then who IS, and why?

If the CIA sat on information relevent to the event of Christmas Day, who is responsible? Dick Cheney? Seriously? Or, is Leon Panetta to be called on the carpet for the failings of the agency HE NOW CONTROLS?

Somewhere else in this thread, the claim is made that Cheney lives a "stones throw" from the headquarters in Langley (wink wink). Why? So he can throw stones at an upstairs window in an effort to make contact like I did in high school, when I stopped at my ex-girlfriend's house late at night for a booty call? Or do you really believe the poster who made that comment thinks that Dick Cheney can manipulate the machinations of the CIA? Do YOU believe he can?

Hey, it's all just a matter of opinion. People like you are of the opinion Dick Cheney can pull strings that would make the world shake itself to pieces; that he's some kind of dark force whose tentacles reach so far into the soil he could cause earthquakes to happen and volcanoes to erupt. People like me are of the opinion that he's an aging has-been who has nothing more than an open mic at this point.
