97. Nothing so far suggests that we will be any better off in 4 years. If anything,
the future looks even worse. The banks are completely in control and are becoming even more arrogant with their power. I am sick and tired of our elected representatives acting dazed and confused as the banks keep ripping us off. What else did they expect to happen in 9 months? Why weren't the banks ordered to cap their rates immediately? Years ago these rates would be called usury and were only found with loan sharks. Now these rates are acceptable practice. Look at home modifications. It isn't easy to find out much about them because the banks are not really offering many. It makes no real sense that taxpayer money would be handed over to the banks with no strings attached.

It really is a shame because so many people, myself included, had such high hopes for this administration. I understand that we are still much better off with what we have rather than McCain, but my greatest fear at this point is that there will be a republican back in the White House in a few years.
