36. why?
I know I'll probably get flamed for this post but why would you feel that the OPer's dissapointment with President Obama is misplaced? What has he delivered on?

Repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell?...Nope

"We will end this war (sic-> in Iraq)" -VP Joe Biden...Maybe someday we will end this war by sending hundreds of thousand more contractors to replace our troops...in other words...Nope

Defeating the Defense of Marriage Act...Nope

Closing Guantanamo Bay...Nope

Creating a green economy and putting Americans back to work...Nope

Standing up for single-payer health care as he said he would when campaigning for the Senate...Nope

Restoring our Civil Liberties...Nope

I could go on and on and on and on. The simple reality is that we fell victim to a snatch and grab that began in the mid-50s in this country and has escalated ever since. Over the last 60 years in this country, the bulk of OUR wealth has been redistributed upwards into the pockets of a very small, very select few. Sadly, although there are minor differences, the simple reality is that we have given the individuals who benefit the most from the graft and theft that are going on, the "responsibility" of making the rules...it doesn't much matter, with very few exceptions, what letter is next to their name when they appear on CNN or MSNBC to try to convince us that they're looking out for our best interests while picking our pockets and giving the bounty to their corporate buddies. "Yes we can" is a fantastic platitude to sell a product but, we as Americans (and particularly as consumers) haven't learned that just because something has cool marketing and design, doesn't necessarily mean that it's good for you. I voted for President Obama and had a great deal of hope but I also knew enough about his history and the history of many in his Cabinet (i.e. Rahm Emannuel) to be skeptical. Sadly (and it really does pain me to say so), my skepticism was correct. I definitely know that I haven't seen ANY "change that I can believe in".
