6. Try being raised by jackals like Palin!
Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 01:39 PM by CoffeeCat
My "parents" were both like Palin--narcissistic, fundie, pseudo-elitist fakes who abused their children in secret--but
portrayed a perfect image to the community.

My father would make fun of me because I cared about the poor. We were at a swanky party when he came up to me and said, "I
think I hear a homeless person scratching at the window...you care about those types, why don't you bring them a plate."

He also yelled at our U.S Senator because he was enraged at him for co-sponsoring the Americans With Disabilities Act. This
cut into my "father's" profits. He didn't want to make his bathrooms handicap accessible because of the costs. The kicker--my
"mother"--his wife, had polio as a child and is disabled and has trouble walking.

I could go on about the house of horrors that place was. However, we were supposed to maintain the image of the perfect family.
We never missed church, I can tell you that much.

These people seem annoying and self absorbed on the outside, but most people have no idea how insidious it is on the inside.

From the outside, we sense that they are racist. My father couldn't speak to anyone who wasn't white--without getting visibly
uncomfortable. He always told me that it wasn't his fault that minorities were lazy and stupid. My sister was at the mall
speaking with a friend who was Hispanic. My father grabbed her by the arm and forced her to go home because she was talking
to someone who wasn't white. These types deny that they're racist, but they all are--and they all find comfort in knowing
that their conservative cohorts are as well.
They're all sick.
