120. They can reduce their chances of getting pregnant - not totally avoid it
Unless women have no sex at all, there is no 100% effective way of preventing pregnancy.

http://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-topics/birth-control/birth-control-effectiveness-chart-22710.htm

Even tubal ligation (the choice I made because other birth control methods were medically inappropriate for me and not effective) has been known to "reverse" itself. About twenty years after I had my tubes tied, the media announced cases of women who became pregnant after decades of believing they were free from that worry for the rest of their lives. Think of the nightmare of that - someone who did not want a child when they were in their twenties finding themselves pregnant in their forties or fifties. Most had thought they were going through menopause and did not realize they were pregnant until late in the pregnancy.

Just look at the chart. The BEST methods of pregnancy prevention (other than total abstinence) mean that for every one hundred women who do not want to get pregnant end up pregnant. That is thousands of unwanted pregnancies.

Do you think those women should be forced to continue to suffer for the failure of their best efforts to get pregnant?
