If you can't, or won't pay the fine, as seems what the OP is arguing, then step 2 is potentially crushing. Five years in prison and 1/4 of a million dollars is relatively large.


And what will that do? It will create a new version of an old class that was expunged from US society--the serf. Indebted to the ruling class, working for survival and trapped in that class by punishing interest rates.

If these provisions pass the conference committee, as yeoman we have fucked ourselves right well.
