I doubt this will mean insurance for me or my friend who I convinced that electing this president would make that happen for him. I can't understand the folks here who are so hostile to those of us who are understandably cynical about the politics-as-usual being practiced in front of us. Incremental change may well be good for some. It can be a worthwhile enterprise. Health insurance for children was a worthwhile example of incremental change. The argument I recognize against this effort is that the insurance companies are still in control of costs which are expected to continue to rise. What happened to the proven cost-controlling pools? Why is the public option allowed to be handled like a poor step-child? This is lousy politics.(maybe all we can expect) Disgusting.
