10. This time is different... we are approaching a total crisis if nothing is done this time.

The thing that is different this time is that doing nothing is absolutely the most costly "option" there is.

We can't compete on a global level, and a big reason for that is that other countries provide healthcare to their citizens rather than dumping that burden on to employers.

How much higher can insurance premiums rise before the balloon explodes? How many more uninsured will the American people tolerate? How many more deaths, bankrupt families, closed businesses, foreclosed homes, etc?

Already we are seeing people on the left starting to mobilize and do civil disobedience. I think this will spread if nothing is done, although like the civil rights and anti-Vietnam war movements it will be a long hard struggle.
