I showed your post to a friend...someone who considers herself a Democrat, but really only because she "hates" Repubs. She is Christian, and because of that, is automatically against gay marriage and abortion, although she won't admit it to anyone besides me(and a handful of others). Anyway...I showed her this post, and it made her cry. This, and a lot of other things posted here today that have expressed the true pain of this struggle, have finally made her change her mind about supporting equal rights for ALL. She's ready to join the fight! Thank you for posting this so honest and sincere story.
