17. The Reverse "Some Say" Effect
Usually it's the rushpublicans who love to play this game...and when its played on them it drives them goofy. As long as her family life is part of the nightly joke rotation on the late night talk shows, Mooselini is laughed at more than taken seriously. As long as Levi lobs bombshells at her the more the jokes roll and the deeper her hole to "respectability" becomes. It was said what really hurt both the late Edward Kennedy and Bill Clinton were the relentless pounding they took from comics and other media types about their private lives.
