1. It'd be a tough fit. He's too far right on economics and spending to feel comfortable as a Dem,
from what I can see. It'd probably take a strong primary challenge from a religious right type who was openly gaybashing him. Even then, it'd have to be a situation in which A)the gaybashing went past a certain level of viciousness(perhaps if Fred Phelps started showing up at Crist rallies saying "God Says Kill All Crist Supporters" and B)the liklihood that Crist would be beaten in such a campaign combined with the immediate offer of some plum role in Dem politics(and I'm not sure that would be possible if the campaign was close to a primary day).
