7. What an ass.
If no families had wanted pictures taken, there wouldn't have been any with Obama saluting a coffin.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Powell, et al could have gone. None of them did. Bush did meet with families personally. However, a trip to Dover would have been an acknowledgment and tribute to all the sacrifices made.

If he could take the time to fly to a ship and jump out with a flight suit on, he could have gone quietly to Dover.

The Rethugs are just tied into knots because there is no way to defend the fact that Bush or anybody in his admin took the time to go to Dover.

Grieving families are one reminder. Flag covered caskets, however, are the ultimate symbol of sacrifice that those cowards couldn't face.
