36. We were on the JW visiting list for a while

One of the neighbor ladies who lives down the hill is a JW, apparently, and very kindly (?) referred her buddies to us for conversion.

We used to get a couple of visits a year for oh, about 7 or 8 years. Repeated refusals to welcome them finally convinced them that it's a total waste of time to drive all the way out here over crappy dirt roads only to be turned away. We haven't seen them in a while, so I would imagine they've gone after easier prey.
