Glad to hear that you still have to take a Civics class. My understanding is that Civics is now mostly combined with Social Studies, giving a watered-down version of what we took as a free-standing Civics class, complete with an end-of-year exam that bore heavily on whether or not one graduated (I did not attend any school in this state). But, be that as it may, it would seem a good portion of my demographic retained very little of what they learned. :)

I found it interesting that in 2001 the New Hampshire Senate voted down a bill that would require a mandatory Civics class in high school.
